This week's #BlindLocation is with Chad Lada. I know Chad from taking photos of him and his now fiancé's musical duo (Chad & Rosie) a few years back when I used to have my business on Groupon. When we met, they were getting some promo photos done, because they had just moved to San Diego and needed some promotion material.
We did the shoot, didn't see each other for about 2 years, and then one day when I was at a show at the House of Blues, I checked my phone to see what the opening band was that I was watching.
I was scrolling through the HOB website and saw the image I had taken of Chad & Rosie! They were going to be playing the dinner show the next day. I reached out to them, went to their dinner show, and we've been hanging out as friends ever since. They're a lot of fun to go watch. You can catch them at Tin Roof or House of Blues playing requests pretty much every week.
This #BlindLocation challenge was to take all the photos from the ground. I never stood up for any of these shots. It's cool to challenge yourself with restrictions like this, because it forces you to see something from a different point of view.
